Honoured and priviledged to lead and attend this innaugural event of this project as the President of Rotary Club of Willowdale. A project of 2.5 million INR,this event took place in Trivandrum, on 24th January 2024 (Phase 2).
Launched by RI District 3211 in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Willowdale, Canada, and the Rotary Club of Technopark, India - the Wings of Wisdom (WoW), a groundbreaking initiative aimed at addressing educational challenges in tribal schools. The project takes a holistic approach to bridge educational gaps in tribal areas, focusing on Infrastructure, Content, and Mentorship. WoW project qualifies for the District Project ‘Satrangi’ (For Rotary District 3211), which also aims at Support to Schools.
The inauguration ceremony and signing of Memorandum of Understanding with the identified 7 schools was conducted at Govt V&HSS Vithura, Trivandrum on the 24th January 2024. The event was inaugurated by the Hon: MLA G. Stephen. The event had the esteemed presence of Rtn. G. Sumithran (District Governor for Rotary District 3211), Rtn. Meera John (District Chair for Satrangi), Rtn. Harish Mohan (Assistant Governor for Zone 7, District 3211), Rtn. Jobson Easow (President of Rotary Club of Willodale, Canada), Rtn. Rony Sebastian (President of Rotary Club of Technopark, Trivandrum) and representatives from the selected schools.
