The acronym OPACC stands for Ontario Parents Advocating for Children with Cancer.

This is a dinner meeting which will be held at Floga Restaurant, 1957 Kennedy Rd.

Susan (Suzi) Kuczynski, OPACC's Lead Parent Liaison at Sick Kids Hospital, is the married mother of 2 beautiful daughters.  In 1995 her younger daughter was diagnosed with a renal cell carcinoma, and so, she entered the world of pediatric oncology on a personal level. Today her daughter is a happy, healthy, long-term survivor.  Susan is active in the childhood cancer community working together with OPACC since its inception.

As Parent Liaison, Suzi works to educate, advocate, support and enable families along their childhood cancer journey by working directly with families and caregivers on a regular basis. She helps them find their way from a non-medical point of view.

As well she has worked and continues to work with OPACC's partners in the community, government and health care systems to add the parent voice to a variety of issues and research projects.

Most recently, in 2024, Suzi was awarded a Canadian Meritorious Service Medal in recognition of her work with OPACC.
